Installation

For Orbiter 2016:

  • After you’ve checked the box, a new window will appear: “OMP Client”

Select “Network” tab and enter:

  • Server = omp.westeurope.cloudapp.azure.com
  • Server Port = 1515
  • Make sure “custom port” is unchecked.
  • Enter Any (Your) User Name – No spaces, must be unique
  • Enter Any Password – No caps lock, must NOT be blank
  • CLICK “Connect ORBITER” in main Orbiter window
  • OMP dialog box will show “Enter the vessel name”
  • Write your vessel’s name or call-sign, press enter
  • Select your starting vessel and base by double clicking the vessel and base of your choice

  • Orbiter will now load into 3D Simulator Mode and you should be at the base of your choice

For Orbiter 2010:

  • Download and install/extract Orbiter 2010-P1 from http://orbithangar.com/ into arbitrary folder.
  • Download and install OrbiterSound 4.0 from Dan’s Orbiter page into your Orbiter 2010P1 installation.
  • Download and install UCGO 3.0 from Dan’s Orbiter page into your Orbiter 2010P1 installation.
  • Download and extract Deltaglider-XR1, XR2 Ravenstar and XR5 Vanguard from Altea Aerospace into your Orbiter 2010P1 installation. Note: these Orbiter 2010P1 compatible versions are not supported by the author anymore! We host these versions for backwards compatibility only with explicit permission of the author.
  • Download and extract OMP version 0.8.1 from Face’s OMP News into your Orbiter 2010P1 installation.
  • Run the “orbiter.exe”. In the modules tab, activate “RacecheckpointMFD” and “OMPClient” (see image)

  • After you’ve checked both boxes a new window will appear: “OMP Client”

  • Server Port = 1516
  • Make sure “custom port” is unchecked.
  • Enter Any (Your) User Name – No spaces, must be unique

  • CLICK “Connect ORBITER” in main Orbiter window
  • OMP dialog box will show “Enter the vessel name”
